Happy Mother's Day!

I've been spoiled today by my husband's great cooking! We invited my mother over today as well and he made broccoli cheese soup with sourdough bread, lemon pepper chicken with brown rice, carrots (my fave veggie right now), and a vast array of desserts, which I have yet to try! My mom got full before she could finish so we sent home a doggie bag.

My girls had to work today, but it has been enjoyable spending the day with my mom and my two guys. After we ate we had a competitive game of Scrabble! Gggrrr, my son beat me by two points! I tried tricking him and saying I got a 50 point bonus for using all my tiles first. It didn't work. Didn't I teach this kid anything?

After my girls get home from church tonight we are going to watch Night at the Museum. It's a really cute movie if you haven't seen it yet. I'm saving room for a small bite or two of the desserts. After all I will be writing about my weight loss challenge on Tuesday...sigh!

If you happen to stop by today let me wish you a very Happy Mother's Day to all!

Thank you, Amy, for sending Christine over to my place. You can't imagine how much I am reassured and comforted by the words she left in my comments.

Truly, this whole thing with Cameron is beyond scary. But she has assured me that we will learn more about Type I diabetes in babies and get better at dealing with it.

So thank you for sending her to me and a belated Happy Mother's Day to you.

Happy Mother's Day to you! Glad you had such a wonderful day! :)
Night at the Museum is a really cute movie, it almost got Josh in trouble with my husband when he called him DUM-DUM, but then Josh asked my husband if he wanted GUM-?GUM, and my husband just laughed. Josh would never disrespect my husband, he just thought that was a funny part of the movie.
Just reading about what your husband cooked for you made me full, it sounded so delicious. How lucky are you??
Thanks for telling me about Barb and Cameron and his family. I pray everday for a cure from Diabetes.
Have a great rest of your day!

We showed that movie last month on the airplane and everyone seemed to really like it!

sounds like you had a great Mother's Day!!! I love Scrabble, too. I always lose, though. I'm great with the words...not so great with the strategy part of the game. Once I was playing with my son and was all proud of myself because I opened using all of my tiles (that never happened before) with the word "geishas". My son (who was 7 at the time) beat me using words like "pee". Those darn triple word scores!!!!

Best of luck with your weight loss challenge!!! I'll keep checking back to see how it's going for you!
