Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things I’m Not Afraid, Ashamed Or To Embarrassed To Admit

1. When I first got married my kitchen was all decked out in a rainbow theme. I had the rainbow curtains, the dish towels, the pot holders. I had matching spoon rests, place mats and yes, even a rainbow cozy for my can opener!

2. Remember back in the days when you used to have to pay a dime to use a public bathroom? Well, I was feeling quite ill while shopping one day so I ran to the bathroom to, well, you know. When I got there I had no money to get in so I got sick right in front of the bathroom stall. I discovered there were no paper towels to clean up my mess so I just left. Hey! Don’t judge me. I was around ten years old. Besides, who has time to put in a dime when you gotta go?

3. I can be a bit of a tight wad. I will cut open my lotion bottles or the toothpaste when I know there is more that can be used. It drives me crazy just to throw it away.

4. I’ve never watched some of the classics like Gone With The Wind, Citizen Kane or 12 Angry Men, but I have seen Morons From Outer Space, Goin’ Coconuts and Weekend At Bernie’s!

5. I never had a backpack going to school, which would have been very useful since I was on crutches all four years. Anyway, I love backpacks and I have about seven of my own. Don’t ask. I can only use one at a time, but for some reason I think I need more!

6. I like High School Musical 2 better than the original High School Musical. There, I said it…now let’s move on!

7. I’m selfish when it comes to sharing my popcorn. Can’t help it. I always make sure we have plenty so you can have your own bag, but please don’t even think about eating mine!

8. I could probably quote every single line to every single episode of The Brady Bunch. And Little House On The Prairie. And Friends. It’s a gift.

9. Y’all probably know about the looms that our girls love to make us moms those beautiful pot holders, right? Well, let’s just say that with having two girls I probably received over 100 of them. I have conveniently managed to dispose of about ninety of them. Again, please don’t judge me.

10. One time, in church no less, I had to well…toot. I blamed it on my son.

11. It’s been a year and a half since I shaved my legs. Honestly, they’re not that bad. Fortunately I have very light hair and not much of it. Don’t worry peeps, as soon as I am allowed to bend passed ninety degrees I’ll think about it!

12. I’ve re-gifted once or twice before. I’m sorry, but we received three popcorn poppers for our wedding and four box fans. Where was I going to store all of that stuff in a two bedroom trailer?

13. I still believe that one day I will be the next Mrs. Donny Osmond! Hey, a girl can dream!

Great TT and you shouldn't have to feel afraid, ashamed or embarrassed about any of them.

I so remember having to pay a dime for using a public bathroom.

My TT is up too, 13 shows I'm excited to watch this season

Personally, I like the original HSM better than the second. Luckily, I have 2 daughters to use as an excuse for seeing either one!

What a fun list! Hope you heal quickly

Haven't seen HSM the second. Now, for my one claim to fame (don't hate me.) Apparently, Donny Osmond's "first wife" and I were in the same Sunday School class when we were kids.

Oh, Amy, this was a hoot! Let me assure you, you're not missing ANYTHING not having seen "Citizen Kane"! And I didn't have a backpack when I was in school either, at least not until college. I had a bookbag. :)

I can quote a lot of "Friends," too, but my big quotable show is "M*A*S*H."

We re-gift at our house and do it proudly! Power to the re-gifters! ;)

I've never watched those classics either. They just don't seem to interest me.

Amy,
It's good to see you back! How are you feeling?

:)

As many times as HSM2 has been on I keep missing it. I'm just going to have to plant myself in my rocking chair and not get up.

Oh, and you didn't miss anything by not watching Citizen Kane.

Take care Amy, HUGS, Enjoy the rest of your night!

What a great list. I don't remember having to pay a dime for bathroom use though. I love how you blamed your "toot" on your son. I blamed spilled chocolate milk in a restaurant on my niece, but she told the waitress it was me!

Hello! It is so good to see you up and in good spirits. I have Little House going on here daily we own several of the DVD sets and my girl loves them! I trust your recovery is coming along well. Sorry I have not been by. It has been pretty busy.

Very good list! :)

I have a list too.

Although it's more so about the good side of me.

These were great! On #4, I'm like that, except my movie is "The Wizard of Oz". I've never seen it and never will. It's a badge of honor thing with me now, LOL :)

I've never seen a rainbow-decorated kitchen before! oh you had me in tears on #10! and if you can admit it, well I guess I can admit I've blamed Kayla a time or two for the same thing! I've even told Joe, 'thank goodness I have a baby with me now to blame that on!' LOL And you're not the only one who has regifted either :)
