I can almost hear Mel shouting freedom now! You just have no idea how happy and giddy I am! And ever so thankful. I - that means me, Amy - am at our shop all by myself!! Only for a little bit while my husband is gone getting nuts and bolts and car type stuff, but still - I am alone!

I promise not to blog on this same subject everyday. Really! I can look back though and remember my darkest days and how I wondered if I would ever walk again or be free of some of the pain. It took a little while to get there, but I'm here!

And before I say one more word I know that SO many people are home bound their whole lives and live in much more difficult circumstances than I will ever know or understand. That is one thing I never lost sight of. I am blessed and truly thankful for the past year.

If my hips decided to stay all healthy like I would have never started blogging. I would have spent a ton of money in gas! I would have spent a lot of money by shopping for things we really didn't need. My family would not have been given the opportunity to see some of their spiritual gifts. My church family was able to use their talents and gifts also.

I was also given plenty of time to pray for others and send cards to those like me. And I think more importantly I was able to be there for my mother who needed me most. Now granted she had to come to me if she wanted to see me, but I could call her and we would cry together over dad.

I have learned to be more patient. I have learned not to be as stubborn and ask for help. I learned I don't need to be in control. Give it all to the Lord and let Him do what He knows best!

I'm sure I will continue to learn from this trial. At least I hope I do! If there is something He wants me to see that I have yet to learn I pray my heart is open to His will. He's not finished with me yet!

And I am still happy. Very happy!

it's a testament to your inner strength that you can see the good things that came out of your trials, to find the blessings in the little things!
