1000 Blessing's Friday & Friday's Feast

1000 Blessing's Friday

101. We just received our last meal the church is providing, but get a load of what all she brought: huge bowl of chicken and rice soup, green beans, augratin potatoes, applesauce jello, a whole loaf of banana bread, a whole loaf of zucchini bread, 9 x 13 pan of chicken and cheese casserole and a big old triple layer chocolate cake! Enough to feed a small army or a hungry Amy!

102. Coupons for energy drinks that I don’t need! When I indulge on one of my beloved drinks it will only cost $1.00. It’s still way too much, but it’s a treat I have now and then.

103. Clearance candles for only 25 cents! My daughter bought me about a dozen and at first I was skeptical. I’ve been burning one today and it had lasted for hours and has made the house smell wonderful. Normally cheap candles don’t do a bit of good.

104. Full size candy bars also for only 25 cents! No, these are not for me because I HAVE to lose weight. They make terrific prizes for my Chums in Awanas. The month of October is BARF month. BARF stands for Be A Real Friend / Bring A Real Friend. For each new girl that comes she gets a candy bar and so does the one who invited her!

105. Texting. My daughter has had to work as the overnight cashier, which makes her father and me very nervous. But all through the night we’ve been able to text and ask if she’s doing okay.

106. Cash Cab! Have you seen this show? It’s so simple and yet so fun. And my husband is so smart so I know that when we appear on it someday we will win tons of money!

107. Finding pretty thank you cards at the Dollar Tree. I know it sounds cheap, but I wanted to send out a card to all the families that provided meals and also to those that sent cards over and over. I had to buy a lot and they were just as pretty as the ones you find at Target or a Hallmark store. Plus they were only 10 cents each!

108. On the show Bringing Home Baby yesterday, this couple had twin girls. Oh my goodness were they the prettiest, tiniest babies I have ever seen. I just couldn’t help but oooh and ahhh over them the entire show. I know I don’t know them and probably never will, but they were just so sweet and brought a silly grin to my face for a half an hour!

109. The new season of Dancing with the Stars started this week. Should I count this as a blessing? I say yes because as of right now I’m still not able to get out and about and

110. Laughter! I have laughed out loud so much this week over this and that and it just feels so good! What makes you laugh out loud?

FRIDAY'S FEAST

Appetizer

How are you today?

I'm happy! No particular reason, I just am.

Name 3 television shows you watch on a regular basis.

I will be watching Dancing with the Stars, Cash Cab and reruns of King of Queens. I love television and waste a lot of time watching it. Me bad!

Salad

What’s the scariest weather situation you’ve experienced?

It was so foggy coming home one night that you could only see about five feet in front of you. We were driving a big truck and all of the sudden out of nowhere there was a man walking in the middle of the road. It was a miracle that we didn't run him over! Why he was walking in the middle of the road on such a foggy night I will never understand.
Fortunately I have never had any horrible weather experiences!

Main Course

If you could wake up tomorrow morning in another country, where would you want to be?

Back at the bed and breakfast in Switzerland I was fortunate to stay in with my husband. I can picture us in our pj's on the balcony wrapped up in our down comforter sipping hot chocolate and breathing in the cool, crisp air!

Dessert

What do you usually wear to sleep?

Wouldn't you like to know! How does a silky black negligee sound? Too bad! I sleep in a variety of big comfy t-shirts. I actually have a nightgown we call Thin Min because it was an over sized pink nightgown with Minnie Mouse on it. I wore if for years and years and after a while it got so thin you could see everything! It is so soft and comfy that even my hubby put it on one time and wanted to wear it! LOL! Sexy!

13 Reasons Why Donny Osmond May Not Marry Me

1. As a teenager I was faithful in wearing my purple socks daily. As an adult I find myself attracted to so many different colors, especially blue. Shocker!

2. I know this will turn him off completely. I haven’t been able to go to the dentist in a year and half. It’s only because of my bad hips, but now that they are both done I can go. I do brush my teeth at least three times a day though. Do you think that will make a difference?

3. La, la, la. Unfortunately I cannot sing a lick. I don’t even sound good in the shower! I cannot read music or play any kind of musical instrument, except the nose flute. But then again, who can’t?

4. I didn’t vote for Marie on Dancing with the Stars. There, I said it! I felt I had to give Mark Cuban a sympathy vote. C’mon, the guy just had his hip replaced seven weeks ago. I feel his pain. And did you see his scar? I have two just like it!

5. I’m a little more country than rock ‘n roll.

6. I honestly don’t know if this is still holds true with his faith, but I don’t know if I could give up chocolate! If I had to choose between Donny and Triple Layer Chocolate Mousse Cake at this point I’m not sure which one would win.

7. I don’t like big crowds. So much for going to the family reunions.

8. If he started saying, "Cute Amy, real cute" I would have to scream. It drove me crazy when he said it on the Donny & Marie show.

9. I'm bad with names and he might get tired of me calling out, "Alan, Jay, Marie, Wayne, Merrill"....until I get to Donny!

10. I have never liked his brother, Jimmy, for some reason. He annoys me, but I can’t figure out why. Maybe it’s because I also have a brother named Jimmy and he was annoying too. Or was I the annoying one?

11. I don't like change and wouldn't move to Utah. I can't picture Donny living in a small town like Crawfordtuckey, as we affectionately call it. I wonder how he feels about spouses living in separate states!

12. I have a David Cassidy poster hanging over my bed.

13. I wonder what he’ll say when he finds out I am happily married. And let’s not even talk about his happy marriage at this point. I’ll just have to wait and see!
Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to get DONNY to fit on one line! Any ideas of what I should do?

Houston, We Have A Problem

This is just a quick note to let y'all know I'm having technical difficulties lately. I am trying to visit everyone, but several of your blogs just won't load for me. I am sorry I haven't been able to stop by and see how everyone is doing. I would leave you a comment if it would allow me to.

But I am thankful today because I know with each passing day I get better and it won't be long until I am able to go back to work where I have DSL!!!! Oh, how that brings a smile to my face! You realize though that I won't be able to get a lick of work done, don't you? Oh well!

I do hope everyone is doing well this week. I may not be able to leave you a comment, but that doesn't mean you're not on my heart or in my prayers, okay?

Gotta go and get ready top watch Dancing with the Stars! Who are you going to root for?

9.25.2007

List Maker, List Maker Make Me A List!

I'm anal. I admit it. I find the need to make a list for just about everything I do in life. It gives me a sense of accomplishment to break out my trusted Sharpie, blue of course, and mark big lines through each task. C'mon girls, you know what I'm talking about!

I just felt the need to make another list today for no other reason except it will make me happy!

Top Ten Reasons Why I Make Lists!

1. It gives me an excuse to buy little notebooks~preferably the 5 x 7 size with a pretty little flower or a cute little kitten on the front.

2. I do derive pleasure in knowing that it drives my family crazy. ;o)

3. Let's face it...I'm old and I forget what I'm doing. It's a nice reminder of what needs to be done...that is, if I remember where I put my list!

4. I have plenty of time on my hands right now and after eight months of sitting in the same spot you have to find some way of entertaining yourself!

5. Making lists gives me a chance to write with my way cool pens with different inks. And we all know that when I write in blue it makes me happy!

6. It also helps me practice my cursive writing. Since we have all gone techno how many people actually sit down and write anymore?

7. I like to make my kids sweat when making a chore list. You should see the droplets on their foreheads and the wringing of their hands when I get to number #12!

8. How else can I participate in Thursday Thirteens and 1000 Blessing's Fridays if I don't make lists. Why do you think I love them so?

9. Because I love to hear myself say "CHECK" while I make the same sign with my index finger!

10. I can pretend I am David Letterman with my own talk show and I am filthy rich!

So let me in on your secrets! What's something you do that drives your family crazy, but you have to do it anyway?

9.21.2007

1000 Blessing's Friday

91. I slipped Sunday night while trying to get a sponge bath. How dare I want to be a little clean! I hurt my right knee badly which has delayed my therapy, but as of today it feels 50% better and I have been able to start exercising again. Wow, I never thought I’d be happy about being able to exercise!

92. Great deals at Kroger this week! Our fridge was pretty empty and it looks like the family will be able to live a little longer now.

93. Fellowship. I’ve had some wonderful friends stop by for a visit this week! I miss them so much and can’t wait to go back to church again.

94. My precious Woo. I tell ya, this dog of mine provides more laughter in this family! And she behaves better than the kids!

95. Good paying customers. We’ve had some real doozies that never paid us, but we have a new customer that pays the minute he gets his bill. This is a huge blessing!

96. Baby wipes. Yes, these have been a blessing since I’ve got home from the hospital. I have found all kinds of uses for them, but I’ll spare you the details. Your welcome!

97. Beautiful sun shiny days with big poofy white clouds! I can look at the sky forever and count my many blessings.

98. Diet NOS. I love this energy drink and my hubby found it in diet form at the local gas station. He bought me two yesterday.

99. Sitting on my bed day in and day out I find myself so thankful for the gift of sight and hearing. I may not be able to do a whole lot right now, but I can enjoy watching my family at work and hearing them singing in the kitchen while they are doing dishes. I know it sounds like I am a slave driver, huh?

100. Which leads to always knowing how blessed I am by my dear family. I don’t know if I could be as patient as they have been the past year and a half!

My Friday’s Feast is listed below in case you are interested in my exciting answers! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Friday's Feast

I'll be back later today for my 1000 Blessing's Friday!

Appetizer

What is your favorite type of art?

My husband and I just went to the Indianapolis Museum of Art for our anniversary. Let’s just say I didn’t get the contemporary art section at all. Some artist had painted his canvas blue, which I love the color, but that was all there was to it. I could have done that! My favorite art to look at is probably realism. I love a painting called River Landscape. It’s one of those painting that from far away is really pretty and then when you are standing next to it you catch all the details. Love stuff like that!

Soup

When was the last time you got a free lunch (or breakfast or dinner)? Who paid for it?

I have to give this one some thought because it’s been forever since I’ve been out of the house, except for the surgery. Hmmm, I would say it was back in June at a local restaurant called Rancho Bravo. They have a stamp card and for every eight stamps you get a free dinner! It’s a wonderful authentic Mexican restaurant that is cheaper to eat at than McDonald’s or Wendy’s! It’s true.

Salad

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how emotional are you?

Right now I will say a 12! I have a feeling it has a lot to do with the pain medicine I am on, but I am crying over everything lately whether it’s sad or happy. I just cried a minute ago thinking about all the nice people at church and how they are bringing meals and sending cards and thinking of me. I cry because most of these ladies are in poor health themselves and they are such giving spirits that it touches my heart deeply.

Main Course

Approximately how long do you spend each day responding to emails?

None whatsoever and I really need to. I have a lot of my blogging friends that I want to write to and see how they are doing and catch up on all the latest. I would love to be able to devote an hour or two each day to doing this, but right now there is just no way I can. But please know I am thinking about all of you in Blogville!

Dessert

To what temperature do you usually set your home’s thermostat?

Ours is always set at 68 degrees pretty much throughout the year. I figure of you’re cold in the winter just put on an extra layer of clothing! I also like to keep a fan running in my bedroom at all times. And I sleep under a quilt all year long too. I’m rambling now, aren’t I?

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things I’m Not Afraid, Ashamed Or To Embarrassed To Admit

1. When I first got married my kitchen was all decked out in a rainbow theme. I had the rainbow curtains, the dish towels, the pot holders. I had matching spoon rests, place mats and yes, even a rainbow cozy for my can opener!

2. Remember back in the days when you used to have to pay a dime to use a public bathroom? Well, I was feeling quite ill while shopping one day so I ran to the bathroom to, well, you know. When I got there I had no money to get in so I got sick right in front of the bathroom stall. I discovered there were no paper towels to clean up my mess so I just left. Hey! Don’t judge me. I was around ten years old. Besides, who has time to put in a dime when you gotta go?

3. I can be a bit of a tight wad. I will cut open my lotion bottles or the toothpaste when I know there is more that can be used. It drives me crazy just to throw it away.

4. I’ve never watched some of the classics like Gone With The Wind, Citizen Kane or 12 Angry Men, but I have seen Morons From Outer Space, Goin’ Coconuts and Weekend At Bernie’s!

5. I never had a backpack going to school, which would have been very useful since I was on crutches all four years. Anyway, I love backpacks and I have about seven of my own. Don’t ask. I can only use one at a time, but for some reason I think I need more!

6. I like High School Musical 2 better than the original High School Musical. There, I said it…now let’s move on!

7. I’m selfish when it comes to sharing my popcorn. Can’t help it. I always make sure we have plenty so you can have your own bag, but please don’t even think about eating mine!

8. I could probably quote every single line to every single episode of The Brady Bunch. And Little House On The Prairie. And Friends. It’s a gift.

9. Y’all probably know about the looms that our girls love to make us moms those beautiful pot holders, right? Well, let’s just say that with having two girls I probably received over 100 of them. I have conveniently managed to dispose of about ninety of them. Again, please don’t judge me.

10. One time, in church no less, I had to well…toot. I blamed it on my son.

11. It’s been a year and a half since I shaved my legs. Honestly, they’re not that bad. Fortunately I have very light hair and not much of it. Don’t worry peeps, as soon as I am allowed to bend passed ninety degrees I’ll think about it!

12. I’ve re-gifted once or twice before. I’m sorry, but we received three popcorn poppers for our wedding and four box fans. Where was I going to store all of that stuff in a two bedroom trailer?

13. I still believe that one day I will be the next Mrs. Donny Osmond! Hey, a girl can dream!

9.19.2007

Say Cheese!

Dianne has made me smile today by giving me this award! I knew my love for Donny Osmond wasn't all bad. ;o) She's a fan too and isn't ashamed to admit it. C'mon, I know there are more of you out there! Just think of what fun we could have going to a concert! I promise to let you scream louder than me :o)

Now I have the privilege of passing this pretty award on to others who make me smile.

Donetta is first y'all. She makes my heart smile because I know how much she truly cares about me. I know that may sound selfish, but while she faces tougher obstacles than I do, she puts others first. I know she prays for me and is genuinely concerned about my well being. We've just begun our friendship recently, but I feel loved by her. And how could that not make me smile? Thank you friend for all you do for me!

Stacy makes me smile not because of her posts (which are great), but the e-mails we've sent back and forth. I appreciate how she puts up with me when I show concern over things that are none of my bees wax! I like to tease her and tell her useless stuff that nobody really cares about. She makes me smile because we share a love for our beloved pets that if you're not an animal lover, well, then you just don't get it!

Kimmy makes me smile because I've never seen anyone, including myself, love the #7 as much as she does! She's just so honest and true in her writing and she's a great encouragement to me as well.

Christine is my friend! Just seeing her picture everyday makes me smile. Her kids make me smile because they are so gorgeous. I am hoping that one day we can actually meet each other. I truly think we would have such a good time being silly together!

I've limited myself to just a few of you because I want to give others a chance to pass on this cute little award. This doesn't mean that you don't make me smile though! You all make me happy!

1000 Blessing's Friday & Friday's Feast

1000 BLESSING'S FRIDAY

81. Major blessing~ I AM HOME! :o)

82. They did have to poke me eight times to start the iv (which was painful), but once I was under they put in a central line. This was a blessing because they didn't have to poke me ever again to get blood at 4 in the morning! They could also administer pain shots through it as well.

83. I am going to be quite honest with y'all and tell you that this surgery was rough, rough, rough. The block didn't work so I woke up in excrutiating pain, my iron is still at a 7 so I am very weak (but at least it's a nice number~right Kimmy!), I wasn't given the pca pump at first so I suffered for 24 hours, I threw up, I didn't sleep for three days, I have no appetite, and my knee is trashed. BUT I am blessed because it is OVER and I am on the road to recovery!

84. All but one of my nurses and techs were wonderful. Maybe she was having a bad day. But all the other's were so caring and said that I was a good patient too because I didn't complain. I felt like I was pushing the call button all the time, but they said I was the quietest one there. Who ever knew me to be quiet?

85. My husband stayed with me the entire time. I am blessed beyond measure, I know!

86. The ride home was gor-ja-mus! It was the perfect temperature and the clouds were white and fluffy. The fresh air was such a nice change.

87. An hour after I got home my friend, Melissa, brought over chicken enchiladas and apple pie. She and her daughter stayed for a little visit which was wonderful!

88. I also had a stack of cards waiting for me to open. I am truly blessed with a loving church family.

89. I was greeted by a big old b*tt just a wagging! My precious baby couldn't wait for me to sit on the bed so she could give me as proper kiss. Wensley didn't leave our side the rest of the night.

90. This is a blessing for you...my next set of blessings won't be all about me and my surgeries!

I do appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. I still have a long way to go, I know that. I will be learning to walk again properly. I haven't bent my knees for a year and a half when I walk so this will be all new to me. I have also leaned on my crutches the entire time so I know my back is going to take a beating once I start standing tall again. I've told myself not to push getting off my crutches until I feel steady and balanced. I sure would hate to fall and break my new bionic-ness! God is good and has seen me through what will hopefully be my last surgery for quite awhile!

FRIDAY'S FEAST

Appetizer

When was the last time you visited a hospital?

Well, we all know I just got out of the hospital so I'll say the last time I visited someone was in June when my mother-in-law had her knee replaced. She is having her other one done in about a month.

Soup

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how ambitious are you?

Oh, there are so many things I would love to tackle. When all you do is sit it is easy to say that I would be a 10 because I can use the excuse that I can't physically do it yet. But a reality check will tell me that I am about a six. I like to put it all on paper, but when it comes to getting it all done I can check off a few things and then be done with it.

Salad

Make a sentence using the letters of a body part. (Example: (mouth) My other ukelele tings healthily.)

Amy never knew love everlasting. Ahhh, that's just sad.

Main Course

If you were to start a club, what would the subject matter be, and what would you name it?

I won't go with the obvious Donny Osmond fan club answer ;o) But how about The Ugly Friends Club. A small group of friends get together once a month at the chosen destination. Plan on spending the night gals! This is a good time to do whatever....if you have a burden, we're there to listen. If you have a praise, we're there to rejoice with you! If you need a shoulder, we'll have plenty to choose from. I call it The Ugly Friends Club because we're going to be seeing each other in all kinds of ways. from crying our hearts out to laughing so hard we snort! And we'll love each other anyway. :o)

Dessert

What color is the carpet/flooring in your home?

Most of it is light brown. In our bedroom it is a light shade of blue. The whole house needs new carpeting though. And I would like to tile the kitchen and bathrooms. Maybe Extreme Makeover people will come and do it for me, ya think?

9.07.2007

Friday's Feast, 1000 Blessing's Friday & A Final Post

Appetizer

Using only one word, how does grocery shopping make you feel?

Frustrated.

Soup

What is your favorite part about the season of Autumn?

Definitely watching the leaves change colors! We have some beautiful trees around here that I get to enjoy.

Salad

Have you ever had any bad experiences online?

No, thank goodness!

Main Course

Name three things that make you happy daily.

Knowing that I have a relationship with Christ and that no matter what happens I will be with Him eternally!
Knowing that I am blessed with a family that loves me unconditionally.
Knowing that each morning is a fresh new start with no mistakes in it.

Dessert

What one household cleansing or organizing item would you not want to be without?

I couldn't live without my OxiClean! Good stuff.

1000 Blessing's Friday
71. Cooler weather. And I know this because I actually got to drive on Monday!! And it felt so good. :o)

72. Discovery of a new flavor of peanut butter~roasted peanuts & honey. Yummy.

73. Wonderful, competent leaders in our Awana group. I don't have to worry while I miss the next month or so.

74. My period will be over and done with right before I have surgery!

75. I've been able to get quite a few things accomplished such as bills made out and grocery shopping done.

76. Selling things on e-Bay and making some good money while getting rid of junk!

77. Ooh! Double sevens, I like this number. Anyway, I am blessed that my daughter works at Blockbuster and we get five free rentals each week. I got to watch Ma & Pa Kettle and laugh and laugh!

78. I found some more comfy pants to wear after surgery.

79. I watched my first football game with my husband last night & survived! Go Colts!

80. My son's knee is going to be okay!

I know most of you know this already, but for those that are new today this is for you. I am going in on Monday the 10th to have my right hip replaced. I had my left one done eight weeks ago. I have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is the reason for the replacements.

Okay, I have a few prayer requests please. 1. Again, that they can easily find a vein for the iv. 2. That my right knee doesn't hurt as much after this surgery like my left one did. 3. My husband as he stays with me day and night. It's not easy sleeping on those chairs, but he wants to stay with me. 4. That I don't have to have a blood transfusion. 5. And lastly, that I don't get an infection.

I've had tremendous success with the last one and I am so excited to get the next one done. I can't wait to be able to get in a car all by myself again! And hopefully by Christmas I will be able to actually go shopping this year!

This will be my last post for quite awhile. Please don't forget about me! I promise to be back as soon as possible. And next time you see me I'll be movin' and a groovin'...lol!

Thank you for all your love and prayers!

Thursday Thirteen #43

13 More Random Weird Things About Amy

1. I cannot scratch my foot without it tickling!

2. While I love everything alphabetized and just so, I tend to look at things backwards. Like on my blogroll I start at the bottom and work my way up or I have to start in the back when looking at my Tiger Beats! LOL!

3. I have to clean my ears often, like practically everyday because they get so yucky. I say it's because I am a good listener and they get filled up ;o) Yeah, I know, it's gross.

4. I love to shake Jell-o on my popcorn. Lime is really good!

5. I'm actually looking forward to going to the hospital on the 10th because I'm craving their vegetable soup. Sad, isn't it?

6. I tend to overstock on things like toothpaste, t.p. shampoo and body washes. But hey, at least those are things you really don't want to run out of, right? It's just that they take up a lot of room that we don't have. At least things are clean!

7. I work better under pressure. Why do it today when you can put it off until the very last minute and then gripe because things aren't working right?!

8. I've discovered King of Queens recently and love that it's on like three times a day. I don't know why I've never watched it before.

9. My hair is driving me insane. The older I get the weirder it gets. It used to be straight, but now it wants to curl a bit and feather back. I look like I am living in the 80's again! Yikes!

10. I have a childish sounding voice and no, it has nothing to do with how immature I am!

11. I think I love my dog more than my kids......just kidding! But there are days I like her more.

12. When I shower I have to wash my hair first. No matter how stinky I am!

13. When I was little we went to a rodeo and a bull got out and chased me up a hill. I've never cared for them since! And as an added bonus: I was also bit by a garden snake when I was five on the top of my foot. My right foot in case you're interested ;o)

9.04.2007

Random Tuesday Thoughts

I love the Andy Griffith show. It makes me laugh like no other show I've seen. I think because I have a lot of relatives that act like a few of the characters on the show. But I'm not naming any names!

I've noticed that a lot of bloggers have pet names for their family members so they don't mention their real names. I want to do that too. My husband will now be referred to as Mustang Man. My oldest daughter is affectionately known as Super K. My middle daughter will be called Care Bear and my son will be J-Man. Cool!

Awana starts tomorrow night at church! I am the director of the 3rd and 4th grade girls and I cannot believe how excited I am!! I'm just sad that I will have to miss about four Wednesdays after surgery. If you ever want to volunteer at church this is a wonderful age group to work with. Please pray for us as we minister to these little ones and teach them God's truths.

I didn't get to see how much Jerry Lewis raised this year for the telethon. I also didn't watch it like I normally do. My grandfather died of MD and I have several aunt and uncles that suffer from it and three cousins that also have it. It's a nasty disease.

In case you've noticed that I haven't left many comments on your blogs lately it because I'm having a hard time with getting pages to load. I am stopping by though and reading as much as I can! I haven't forgotten any of you.

My son had a nasty spill on the steps last Wednesday and cracked his knee. Praise the Lord it is not broken, but now he is on crutches too. Thankfully I had a second set here at home. He went back to school today and I've been wondering how he is doing getting around that big school.

I was on crutches for all four years of high school. Looking back I wonder how I carried all those books around. We didn't have backpacks like kids do today. Poor us!

Our 23rd wedding anniversary is on the 8th and I have no idea what to get Mustang Man. I am totally clueless this year. I think we are going to stay at a hotel on Sunday since my surgery will be the next morning. We want to go to the art museum and Romano's Macaroni Grill. Maybe if it's not too hot we can go to the zoo so I can feed the giraffes too!

Mmmm, a funnel cake sounds so good right now. Not sure what made me think of it, but now I want one! Told ya this was random ;o)

I should so be working right now and catching up everything, but oh well!

I hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing Labor Day and is now ready for the week ahead!

1000 Blessing's Friday On A Saturday & Yet Another Meme!

61. Being able to bear full weight on my new hip is a huge blessing this week! Gives my bad one a liitle bit of a break.

62. We've had less humid and hot days this week and some actual rain!

63. I was able to get out and have an Awana meeting at Culver's. Looks like it is going to be a wonderful year! Our theme this year is Following His Footsteps.

64. I started my period which makes me happy because last time I had it during surgery. And that's just nasty!

65. I've had several painful days which made me appreciate the less painful ones all the more!

66. Visits from friends have brightened my week!

67. My son took a really nasty spill going up the stairs at school. He's had a grapefruit sized bump on his knee. Praise the Lord it is not broken. I would not have been able to take care of him properly if he had broken it. Today it is the size of a golf ball, so it is shrinking!

68. Sold some things on e-Bay and made some decent money which will help pay for my surgery!

69. Mom bought me a new cookbook with some easy to prepare meals for when I start cooking by myself again! Looking forward to making some new dishes.

70. Blessed beyond measure by faithful friends who pray for me and leave comments letting me know they are!

ACCENT: I'm from Indiana, but sometimes I can have a bit of a southern accent. Plus I sound like a little girl when I speak. It's easy to fool the telemarketers!

I DON’T DRINK: Alcohol or milk or the combination of the two!

CHORE I HATE: Well, I can't say that I love any chore, but I would pick dusting because it looks the same way the very next day! So why bother?

PETS: My precious Wensleydale, our english bulldog.

ESSENTIAL ELECTRONICS: Well, definitely my lap top and my cell phone are my lifelines to the outside world right now.

PERFUME: Anything that will cover up my stinch ;o) I love all kinds of perfume and body sprays, just nothing coconut!

GOLD OR SILVER: Yes please!

INSOMNIA: I guess it depends how much pain I am in that night. I don't get a lot of sleep, but I have my pillows to keep me company, er I mean comfortable!

JOB TITLE: President. Really! We own our own Mustang restoration business. You can also call me Secretary, Accountant, Janitor and Gopher. Goes with owning your own business!

MOST ADMIRED TRAIT: About me? People like my sense of humor and that I can keep a smile on my face. I always try to see the humor in all situations. There is always a bright side to things!

KIDS: Three blessings!

PHOBIA: Falling and breaking my bionic-ness!

RELIGION: Baptist. I blame my fluffiness on my religion because if you've ever been to a baptist church social then you know we can cook!

SIBLINGS: One older brother, Jimmy. I'm sure he would prefer to be called Jim now, but too bad! Can you tell I was a bratty little sister?

TIME I WAKE UP: I would say around 7:30 am unless I just haven't slept at all and then I will try to sleep till 9:00 am.

UNUSUAL TALENT/SKILL: Can't think of anything unusual, but my husband always comments that he is amazed for someone with such crippled hands that I can type the way I do. I guess he thinks I am fast. Aha, but how accurate am I?

VEGETABLE: Love 'em all except turnips and peas and anything else I've never tasted yet! If you were that good I would have tasted you by now.

WORST HABIT: Sarcasm. I try my best to behave, but sometimes I just can't help it. You either love me or ya don't!

X-RAYS: I think I can honestly say that I've had absolutely everything on my body x-rayed at one time or another. I actually took a picture of my new hip with my camera phone the other day. It's my new wallpaper!

MY FAVORITE MEAL: Yes please! I'm easy to feed as long as it includes meat and chocolate!

Happiness Challenge :o)

*STICKY POST*

Southern Girl is back and reminding me that the month of August is the Happiness Challenge! I will leave this as a sticky post so please scroll down for Amy's Exciting Adventures!

Happiness is....

August 1 ~ Friends! My new friend Tina brought our dinner which was fab.U.lous, but what made my day was she stayed and visited for two hours! The time just flew and we laughed and never stopped talking. I love making new friends! We are going to be co-directors in Awana this year since I don't feel up to doing it all myself. I have a feeling we are going to work together just fine and that makes me happy.

August 2 ~ Company! I had some more friends visit today from my church. I guess I need to have surgery more often, huh? They were a couple of older ladies that I adore and have known since I was eight years old. They brought me an ugly sheep candle which is to remind me that they are praying for me. When I am better I am to pass it on to someone else that needs that reminder too. The sheep has on sunglasses and a Hawaiian shirt and striped knee socks! Scary, but funny.

August 3 ~ Progress! Being able to get stand up all by myself now! Everyday just gets a little bit better.

August 4 ~ Freedom! Going out for the first time in two weeks! The air was hot, humid and muggy and made my hair frizz instantly, but it was GREAT! I was able to go see Bourne Ultimatum with my family and some friends. It was a really good movie too, btw!

August 5 ~ Breakfast in bed! My husband has been entertaining one of our customers all weekend and after he dropped him off at the airport he came home and made bacon and pancakes. And he stopped by the gas station and bought a bottle of NOS just for me plus one of those new Reese's peanut butter banana candy bars. I'll let you know how they are!

August 6 ~ Lots of happiness this morning! My mom brought over my birthday card with $50 in it! Yay! But the card said so many nice things too about being a terrific daughter ;o) How did she get so blessed...lol! I got a good nights sleep for which I am thankful because I didn't get any the night before. Tried the new candy bar last night and it is good, but very sweet. I would try it again, but it wouldn't be a regular favorite. It's a beautiful, sunny day out and something just feels right this morning. Who knows, maybe Donny's going to pay me a visit! haha!

August 7 ~ My momma! She has diabetes and just hasn't been feeling well at all for a couple of weeks. When I called her this morning she sounded like her old self! I love her so much and with nobody there to take care of her I worry a lot. Thankfully she only lives about seven minutes away if she ever needed us for anything. She's always been there for me and I want to do the same for her. And since today is my birthday I want to tell her thank you for having me!

August 8 ~ Therapy! No pain, no gain as my dad always reminded me. And he was right. I've been pushing hard and doing my exercises to gain strength. I can almost get into bed all by myself! Maybe by Friday or Saturday I will be able to. And the exercises that I could only do a few reps at a time~well I'm up to 20!! Yay for me ;o)

August 9 ~ Anticipation! My bestest friend, Karen is coming tonight for a visit!!! She's even making us dinner too and she always makes yummy desserts. I love her so much. We are total opposites but have the best time when we're together!

August 10 ~ Blogging! Today is my one year blogging anniversary. I have found such happiness in meeting all of you! There are so many of you that I think of through out the day, wondering how you're doing and what you're doing at that moment. Do you guys do the same thing?

August 11 ~ Car rides! Or rather a truck ride. We managed to figure out how to get me in my husband's little truck and we took a nice drive and went to see the old neighborhood. My kinda clouds were out and the sky was a brilliant blue!

August 12 ~ Family time! We played Mario Party 7 all afternoon and then after church watched The Pink Panther Strikes Again. Too funny! Plus I had my last box of Milk Duds. I need to get back on a healthy diet!

August 13 ~ The Osmonds!! I woke up just in time to see the Osmond family on the Today show! Donny looks better than ever. Sigh!

August 14 ~ Rainy days! Yep, you read it right. My grass is so crunchy right now and it looks like we are in for a long day of showers. Hopefully it will make everything green again!

August 15 ~ Wensleydale! My English bulldog just makes me laugh ALL the time. I swear she is a human being. She knows everything we say. We can't even spell around her now because she knows that too! Talk about unconditional love...we never have to use a leash because she sticks to us closer than glue. I couldn't ask for a better companion during the day (and night!). Although she snores as much as my husband :o)

August 16 ~ Sleeping In! I actually slept until 9:00 am this morning. Didn't mean to, but it sure felt nice to get eight hours of sleep for a change! Thank you Jesus, I needed that!

August 17 ~ Feeling Like A Teenager! Tonight is the premiere of High School Musical 2 and the whole family (yes, even my hubby!) wants to watch it and have popcorn and sing and just be silly together. Nothing is better than being with your family. Maybe I can talk my mom into coming over too and being with us!

August 18 ~ Fresh Air! It was a beautiful day today and my husband insisted I get out of the house. I had my birthday money to spend so I went to the Dollar Store, Target & Meijer and got boat loads of stuff! I'm pretty good with finding the bargains I must admit! I'd forgotten how beautiful this world is.

August 19 ~ Letters! Nobody writes letters anymore, do they? I forgot to check the mail yesterday and I had received a nice long letter from a very dear friend that came to visit when she was in town. She wrote all kinds of nice things and told me I was able to make her laugh that night! In person I'm pretty funny...not so much on my blog!

August 20 ~ Reality Checks! I may be mostly a bionic woman, but I am still human. I've been trying my best to ween myself off my pain medicine. Instead of going every four hours I started waiting every eight hours. Too Much Time! I'm quite stubborn I'll admit. But after days of extra pain and not being able to move quite as easily I am going to try every six hours and see how it goes. And not that anybody will really care about this, but speaking of bionic, my aunt is first cousins with the six million dollar man, Lee Majors. Does anybody remember that show? I've never met him, but he's been to My Aunt Becky's house many times to go hunting with my uncle. I've seen the pictures!

August 21 ~ Accomplishments! I had a lot to do yesterday and even though I STILL have a plate full, I was able to accomplish what I thought was most important.

August 22 ~ Happiness! I've found myself laughing and smiling a lot today and that makes me happy! I've read some funny blogs today and friends have made me feel special. I love Jesus and I know if I were to die today that I would be in Heaven! Why wouldn't I be happy?

August 23 ~ BBQ Chicken! Yummers deluxe. My momma made it for us this evening and it is to die for. I haven't had BBQ in a really long time. And now for some baked beans!

August 24 ~ Mail! Kailani sent me a gift today that really brightened my day that started off rather rocky. Thank you friend!

August 25 ~ Bath & Body Works! My girls went there yesterday and brought me home some pineapple hand lotion - yummy and some grapefruit hand soap that smells de-lish! Plus at the bottom of the receipt if you spend $30 you get $10 off! What a deal...I think I need to send them back, what do you think?

August 26 ~ Soup! Don't laugh, it makes me happy. My husband made some wonderful cheesy potato soup tonight and it was so good and I ate way too much...I'm not sure if I will even have room for a brownie ;o)

August 27 ~ Smiling faces! One of my young friends (24 years old) came to see me today. I love that the younger generation will hang out with me and not think I'm an old curmudgeon...at least not yet! It probably has to do with the fact that most of the time I can be more immature than they are!

August 28 ~ Permission Granted! Yay for me...I am now allowed to drive, bear full weight on my new bionic hip, bend over more than 90 degrees (which is awesome considering how much stuff I drop) and eat lots of ice cream...okay that last part was my idea, not the doctors! TeeHee :o)

August 29 ~ Tears! Sounds weird, I know. Honestly I am having a very rough day of pain in my shoulder. Instead of fighting off the inevitable I just let it flow this morning. And that's okay. My momma came over because she was worried about me and I laughed and pitifully said with a pouty lip, "I think I deserve a bowl of ice cream, don't you?" Guess what? I got a big bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup on top....and she even fed it to me since I couldn't move without crying. Wonder what else I could get out of this? ;o)

August 30 ~ Relief! Didn't go to bed until 4:oo am and when I got up at 7:00 my shoulder pain had vanished!!!!! I am so thankful to have it gone finally. It's such a severe pain that all I can do is sit still and hold my arm close to my body. I also learned yesterday that in a pinch I could walk using one crutch! It took forever to get to the bathroom, but I did it! And without incident ;o) Yay for me!

August 31 ~ Reflection! Taking a look back at August and seeing how many ways I have been blessed by the Lord and through friends make me want to cry. Tears of joy though! Sometimes I take it day by day and other times when life seems overwhelming I take it moment by moment and do my best. God loves me and sees me through my trials. I am truly blessed!

Thursday Thirteen

13 Things I Do While Trying To Think Of An Original Thursday Thirteen!

1. Scratch my head. Make note to wash my hair.

2. Chew my nails. Hate how they look. Trim them.

3. Play a game or two of Tetris on my Gameboy. Yes, new high score!

4. Read other's creative ideas and decide not to copy them. Despise them deep down for being creative....just kidding!

5. Look around my room for inspiration. All I see is giraffes, pillows and purses! No inspiration, but now I am smiling.

6. Get my mirror out and pluck my one chin hair ;o)

7. Then think about plucking all my gray hair. Decide I don't want to be bald!

8. Clip coupons.

9. Wring my hands and break out in a sweat because I can't think of anything, but I really, really want to do this week's TT!

10. Practice my dance moves.

12. Bounce on my bed...don't tell the kids!

Momma Would Be Pleased!

A gal could get a big head if she's not careful with all these wonderful awards. Christine and De both honored me with Nice Matters Award. My momma would be so proud! Thank you ladies for thinking of me as nice...trust me, I can have my bad days too! I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post though. But since you are both so nice I am sure you understand that sometimes life gets in the way.

I love Christine to death and I know that if we lived close to each other we would be gabbing buddies. Not that I talk a lot or anything! And our friendship would consist of lots of laughter, me being the taste tester of her creations (since she loves to cook and all!), shoulders to cry on with ears and a heart to listen, and an understanding that when life gets in the way and we haven't talked in like forever doesn't mean that we're not still best friends.

De is so funny. Her sarcasm just cracks me up! And I know we could be good friends too. We'd have the understanding that when De needs her solace I quit talking and go home :o) And De shared her heart with me on one of her first comments and I think that takes alot of guts to do. De, you may not remember it, but I have prayed for your request ever since.

This is what The Nice Matters Award is given for, “This award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. Once you’ve been awarded please pass it on to 7 others who you feel are deserving of this award.”

Now it is my privilege to pass it on to some special people! And I'm doing this in alphabetical order as always because I don't want anyone to think that they were chosen last! I know some of you have already received this, but please let me share why I think you deserve it....

Amy And I promise it has nothing to do with her beautiful name! Sometimes I think we might be one in the same though. We have a lot of common character traits. She's a faithful commenter which is hard when you read so many blogs! And I just love how much she adores and supports her husband, Michael.

Connie She is a recent blessing to me. Her posts make me think and want to have a better, closer relationship with my Lord. When I ask for prayer I know that she does. I am looking forward to getting to know her better!

DeeDee Now who doesn't love this girl? I know she has a huge following, but she makes time for me...little old me! I hope that one day we can meet when she decides to return to Indiana. Love ya girl!

Donetta Another recent discovery and blessing. We are already in full swing of getting to know each other more intimately. I am thankful that she has trust in me enough to share her heart. She, too, will pray for me and is concerned with my well being even though we just met like two weeks ago!

Heather I don't know if she's into these awards or not, but I love this girl. She was so kind when I first started blogging and helped me set up everything...well, she didn't help...she did it all! And she never hesitates to answer a question or offer to help. But setting that aside I love Heather because she is so happy and smiles a lot. Her blog is full of pictures of just about anything. She's very dedicated to her education and who knows...maybe one day I will get to meet her when she helps perform surgery or something on me! Kewel!

Kailani Her blog really is a happy place and once you're there you hate to leave! She's a dedicated blogger who replies to my comments...now that's dedication! She's thoughtful and sent a really nice gift the other day that I am enjoying very much. Plus she loves High School Musical 1 & 2 and is not ashamed to admit it ;o) She's my kinda girl.

Kimmy I love her. I just do. She's crazy about pink the same way I am about blue. She loves the number seven even more than I do. Her heart is HUGE I tell ya. I love her openness and honesty when she writes. She's faithful in prayer and encouragement. Now why wouldn't I think she's nice?

What? I'm already at my seven...but I wasn't done nominating my peeps! Bah, who am I to stick to rules? And I mean that in the nicest way possible. (Phew! Thought you might take my award away if I had attitude)

Michelle and Kayla I have to pick both of them because even though Kayla may not know it right now, she makes me smile big time! She's just precious and you need to stop by and get to know her. And Michelle is just as precious as her daughter. Michelle shares her life with Kayla and Joe and she is expecting again! She's faithful at leaving comments and we all know that deep down inside we like to get comments!

Stacy What can I say? She's nice enough to e-mail me and let me know that her husband is okay when he is out in this heat! I mother everyone, including people I don't know and will probably never know this side of Heaven. We both like useless information and ice cream! Which by the way I am going to Culver's tonight and the flavor of the day is Brownie Thunder! Sounds de-lish, doesn't it Stacy?

Southern Girl I say again, who doesn't love this chic? We've both had some obstacles to overcome and she does it with such dignity. She loves Clay as much as I love Donny. And her strength in Christ shines through. I want to be like her when I grow up!

Ladies, I have to be totally honest with y'all. My niceness right now is zilch because I had every body's name highlighted or whatever you call it and it vanished! I keep trying to link your names back and it just won't work! GGgrrrrrr! I'm still such a novice at all this that I haven't figured out what I did wrong. But give me another chance and I will try to fix it! Thank you.

P.S. I get to go for my six week check up tomorrow. Please pray that everything has healed properly and I can start bearing full weight on it again. My arthritic hip has just about had enough!

A Boat Load Of Stuff For Your Viewing Pleasure

FRIDAY'S FEAST

Appetizer

Say there’s a book written about your life. Who would you want to narrate the audio version?

DeeDee! I have no idea what she sounds like, but I know with her sense of humor she would bring life to my rather dull story. Plus she loves Donny Osmond and well, who can blame her?!

Soup

Take the letters from your favorite kind of nut and write a sentence. (Example: Perhaps every avenue needs understanding today.)

"Cats are stupid!", Harry exclaimed wildly.

Salad

If you could go back in time and spend one week in another decade, which decade would you choose?

Well, let's pretend for a moment that I didn't have arthritis, okay? I would love to spend a week with Laura Ingalls Wilder as a young girl. Having to rise early every morning to do my chores, walking to school, chores in the evening, no electricity, no indoor plumbing, no Romano's Macaroni Grill, no internet, *sniff* no Donny Osmond, *sniff*...well, who wouldn't want that?

Main Course

Name a song that brings back memories for you.

Hard to narrow it down to one, but every time I hear Jesse's Girl by Rick Springfield I think of me and my friend Angie getting to go to his concert all by ourselves at the Indiana State Fair. She and I were both very mature and decided we weren't going to be like all the other girls and scream and carry on when Rick came on stage. No, not us! The moment he came out (we had very good seats, btw) she and I looked at each other and started screaming as loud as we could! That's us, mature.

And anything by Journey because my husband always sang me their beautiful ballads when we were dating....and still does. And my dear hubby CAN sing as well as Steve Perry...honest! I'm a lucky gal for sure.

Dessert

Do you prefer to wash your hands in cold water or warm water?

As warm as I can stand with soap from Bath & Body works. Does cold water even get the germs and disgusting things off your hands?

1000 BLESSING'S FRIDAY

51. We've had a good amount of rain and the lawn is starting to turn green again!

52. We have new neighbors right next door and the dear woman of the house just brought over some tomatoes! And since I am th eonly one in the house that likes 'em...I'm going to have a mater samich for a snack!

53. Kailani sent me something in the mail today that has made me smile all day!

54. My daughter's went shopping today and brought me home three nice gifts from Bath & Body works! How spoiled am I? And clean too!

55. My mom bought me AAA batteries for my Game Boy so I can play Tetris. What? That is too a blessing! Plus I keep beating all my old scores :o)

56. Mom also gave me a new cookie cookbook using only cake mixes. The easier the better I always say. Can't wait to look at it this weekend!

57. Knowing that my next hip replacement is only 17 days away!

58. Air conditioning. Truly blessed indeed, need I say more?

59. Surviving the first week and half of school and getting back in the routine of things!

60. I feel blessed this week too because I have made some real connections with some of my blogging friends. I owe several an e-mail, but it's nice to have so many friends to talk to. I really do love you guys and I think about all of you throughout the day.

I do have many blessings to share, but would you pray for me this week? I can't explain my needs and won't be able to in the future either, but if you think about me this weekend please pray for me...He knows what's needed. Thank you.

13 Pieces of Information About Me That Have No Importance Whatsoever!

1. I am afraid of heights, but love to ride the Drop Zone at King's Island!

2. I've been to Graceland~wasn't that impressed.

3. I was seventeen when I graduated high school. I was next to the youngest in class.

4. My new scar is 8 1/2 inches long. I'm going to ask the doctor to try and make my new scar the same length, if possible. I'm obsessive like that.

5. I like lots and lots of ice in my drinks.

6. I'm really quick at word search puzzles and sudokus. And let's not forget Tetris!

7. Seven is my favorite number of all time...just because.

8. I got a new pillow! It's six feet long and covered in a pink silky material. When I try to sleep it slides all over the place! My dog has tried to claim it as hers. Bad girl!

9. Right now I'm in the mood for some pizza with pepperoni and banana peppers.

10. I love to watch Ma & Pa Kettle movies...ever heard of 'em?

11. I've met John Stamos and gave him a hug. He's quite handsome.

12. My maiden name was Williams.

Two 4 Tuesday

My friend Sandy tagged me for a cool meme. It was hard to choose only five things though because He is so amazing! If you have not done this meme, please take some time and do it. This meme has made me think and fall deeper in love with my Savior.

5 THINGS I DIG ABOUT JESUS

1. First and foremost, how could I not love the fact that He willingly gave up His life for each and every one of us? He died so that we might live! John 3:16

2. I love how Jesus treated women and children. With women he never talked down to them or put them in their place. He was honorable and respectful at all times. And with children he never shooed them away. He must have been so loving for all the children to want to be with Him and follow Him.

3. I love that Jesus has experienced being human. He has also been hungry, tired, lonely, angry, rejected, afraid and experienced pain. When we pray to Him about these things He fully understands.

4. I love that He is my Shepherd and when I need to go out of my comfort zone He will provide the necessary means for me! What better place to be than in the center of His will. I can have complete trust in Him.

5. I love the fact that Jesus is and will always be the ONLY man I need in my life.

He is the Way ~ John 14:6
He is the Truth ~ John 14:6
He is the Life ~ John 14:6
He is Bread ~ John 6:48
He is Living Water ~ John 4:10

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Another good friend, Christine, has tagged me for a fun new meme...well, new to me anyway.

1. You have to post these rules before you give the facts.

2. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of their middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.

3. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts.

4. At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

My name is Amy Diane; although I always dreamed of being either Amy Marie or Amy Lynn!

D ~ Donny Osmond. Christine, does this surprise you? From the time I was about twelve I discovered him and have loved him ever since! If it wasn’t for my husband I would probably have a poster of him up in my room. Yes, I am that immature! Hey, I’m just being real here peeps! At least when I wear my purple socks he doesn't realize why...lol!

I ~ Indecisive. I drive my husband crazy! He’ll ask what I want to do or where do I want to have dinner and I honestly don’t care. I’ll say whatever or wherever. I’m the type of person that if you’re happy, then so am I! As long as we're together having fun you can decide what we do.

A ~ Artistically challenged. I can’t even draw a good stick person! I would so love to be creative and paint, draw or even decorate. But that was not my calling. My philosophy is if there is a nail in the wall then hang the picture there! I’m also musically challenged. Can’t carry a tune even if it only weighed an ounce! And I so want to play the drums. Sad, isn’t it? Please don’t tell Donny!

N ~ Naive. Yes, even at 43 I am still quite naive to the things of this world. My daughter has come home from work and asked me what certain things meant and I’ve not had a clue. We’ve had to go ask my “worldly” husband and in one case my mother what something meant! But I think I’d rather be naive of the silliness of this world than to be an expert.

E ~ Excitable. My husband laughs at me because I get excited over the smallest of things. A free sample in the mail or a good coupon makes my day! When we go to the SEMA show in Las Vegas it’s almost too much for me to handle because we come home with suitcases full of free stuff! And what’s even more fun is that we give most of it away to the kids at church and they are as excited as I am!

Now I have to try to find people to tag with the same letters of my middle name! Let’s see…how about…?

De and Donetta

Monday Madness

But it's not the meme! Just checking in to say I am here and working on my tags for meme's from Sandy and Christine. I also am writing some emails to a couple of you as well!

And for some reason today of all days when I thought I would have time for all of that my family needs me! I guess it's nice to be needed so I shouldn't be whining, but poo, couldn't they have waited until blogging time was over? Love ya kids!

Even my mom came over for me to tell her how to use her new blood glucose monitoring system. She needs me too!

And since I'm on a roll today is there anything I can be doing for YOU? Seriously! Just leave me a comment and I'll get to it as soon as possible....after I help one daughter with boyfriend troubles, the other daughter with her resume, my son with his geometry homework (yeah, right!) and my mom with her new machine. And I'm sure hubby will be calling soon for something he needs. BUT it's okay! LOL! As I was typing that my mom called to see if I figured out her thingy yet and my daughter is calling from the other room needing something!

Calgon~take me away!
